When I was introduced to Reiki, a whole new world opened up to me. I was always good at working with my hands, so Reiki came easy for me.
What was harder was opening myself up to the universe and listening to what “They” wanted me to do. (They as in God, Jesus, Buddha, Ascended Reiki Masters, any one you want to call into your session to guide you in shifting the energy blockages in your client.)
The more I learned from my Reiki Masters, the more confident I became, and the more I was beneficial to my clients. After 5 years of study and practice, I received my Reiki Master/Teacher.
The first course I taught, I was really unsure of myself. I kept going over my notes to decide what I should teach and how. In the classes I had taken from my Reiki Masters, they seem to develop their own way of teaching by adding in more knowledge of other energies besides Reiki. This approach was great for extra knowledge, therefore the cost was fairly high. I decided for myself that I just wanted to teach the foundation of Reiki, and have it affordable for all people to learn.
During one class I taught, as I started teaching the distance healing portion of the course, my student contacted her friend in Calgary to see if she would be the client. She asked her to lie down for half hour or so. After the Reiki that the students performed, I did a scan and still found a blockage, I was told by divine source to return to this area to help the client. In turn this also helped the students learn the importance to listen to divine source. I then got the students to rescan, so they could feel the shift in the client and end the session.
A few minutes later, the client from Calgary texted the friend and told her that after 2 years, she does not have the knot in the middle of her back anymore. For me, that moment confirmed that I’d taught my students right and that I truly had the ability to do distance healings. This gave me the confidence that I needed in myself to continue to teach what I love doing.
The most important aspect of Reiki is coming from a place of love, and listening to divine source.
